من در پستی یک شبه تاریخدان نژادپرست ضد ایرانی موسوم به جونا لندرینگ را به شما معرفی کردم، همانطور که پیش بینی می شد آنچه به بخش انتقادات از وی اضافه کردیم را حذف کردند. آنچه که موجب تاسف است که بسیاری از فعالان فرهنگی ایرانی هم با سادگی و خوش خیالی ویژه ما ایرانیان به او نزدیک شده و نادانسته کمک می کنند این انیرانی به عنوان یک کارشناس تاریخ ایران باستان معرفی شود. برای مثال برای Iranian Chambers Society مقالاتی هم نوشت. او به کمک دوستان خود در ویکی پدیا در تحریف تاریخ ایران در ویکی پدیا بسیار فعال بوده و سعی دارد با جعل تاریخ هخامنشیان، کوروش کبیر را یک پادشاه خونخوار و جنایت کار معرفی کند. او می نویسد که کوروش بعد از تصرف بابل به کشتار مردم دست این شهر دست زده است و تمام منابع یونانی، یهودی و خود استوانه کوروش را نادیده گرفته و تنها بر اساس یک منبع که مطلب آن دلخواه وی بوده و اجتناب از ذکر کردن نظر مشهورترین ایران شناسان نظیر ریچارد نلسون فرای چنین به قضاوت می نشیند و این با روح علمی تاریخ نویسی در تضاد است. وی همچنین اعلام استوانه کوروش به عنوان اولین اعلان حقوق بشر دنیا را تنها تبلیغات رژیم پهلوی می داند. همه می دانیم که در یک مطلب تاریخی همواره دیدگاه های متفاوتی وجود دارد ولی جالب اینجاست که لندرینگ تنها مطالبی را دستچین می کند که کل تاریخ ایران را زیر سوال برده و به این ترتیب بتواند آنچه خود می پسندد را قالب خوانندگان کند. جالبتر این که لندرینگ در جایی از وب سایت خود نوشت: “بیایید از مطالعه تاریخ هخامنشیان دست برداریم”.
کسی که کمی، تنها کمی، تاریخ را درک کند می داند که تاریخ در به خاطر سپردن دو دسته افراد، حافظه ای بس قوی دارد: دسته اول: بزرگان و نیکوکارانی چون کوروش بزرگ، آبراهام لینکلن و دسته دوم: بدنامانی چون اسامه بن لادن وهیتلر. سعی کن در دسته دوم نباشی و فکر نکن چون آدم کوچکی هستی فراموشت می کنیم.
Be aware of who we are assuming as our friend
In an earlier post I introduced you an anti-Iranian racist pseudo-historian called Jona Lendering. As I predicted his friends in Wikipedia removed the section which I added as criticism to his work.
What really I feel sorry is that many of our Iran-Lovers and cultural activist easily are deceived as these kind of historical revolutionists, introduces themselves as a friend and in this way gains approval from Iranian community. He even wrote some entries for Iranian Chambers Society. He and his friends are very active members of Wikipedia in distorting Iran’s history. He tries to introduce Cyrus the Great as a cruel blood thirsty ruler who is wrongly recognized as liberator of Jewish from Babylon and Cyrus cylinder is just propaganda of former Pahlavi regime. The way he likes to lie, is indeed selectively cite some not-generally-accepted in mainstream academia. We all know that in any research-topic there might be different ideas around that, and an unbiased historian –not a good fit for him- has to mention all main viewpoints about it, but when you fail to do that and internationally ignoring world’s top scholars in the Iranian studies like Richard Nelson Fry, and just push for some baseless –or at least a controversy – negative statements on the topic then what you do is nothing less than racism, especially when you explicitly call for “let’s abandon Achemanid’s studies”.
If anyone knows just a little about history, he certainly knows that history is exceptionally god at remembering two categories of people: first, great and popular figures like Cyrus the Great and Abraham Lincoln and second, infamous figures such as Hitler and Bin Laden. Lendering, try to not to be in the second one and don’t assume that just because you are a little person, we forget you.
